dissatisfied with the eldergrove coven's inaction towards current events of the realm, daniel has ventured off with questionable consent, to take the matter of the druidic sacred oath to uphold and maintain social, political, and moral balance across the realm into his own hands. together with his daughter, they seek to both represent the druidic order in the realm, and strengthen formerly estranged family bonds. he will use the skills passed to him from his father, a grand druid - years passed, as well as what skill he gained from the period of his own adolescence, when he ran away and united with the flood of pirates across the seas of the realm...and perhaps the convenience of a few living allies and their shady connections. the only thing in this world he places above his sacred call of duty, is the prospect of salvaging his relationship with his daughter, or at least, dying if it means keeping her safe.
anastasia left the coven years ago, running away shortly after the death of her mother. when daniel was forced to choose to save either his dying wife's life, or their child as she was in childbirth, he made the decision he felt would align with his wife's desires. when she died, and the baby didn't make it through his first night, most of the coven briefly mourned with him before declaring it "nature's will." unable to erase the question of "what if my father had saved my mother's life instead?" and resenting the coven for shrugging off the death of her family, the adolescent girl ran away. she has been hiding her identity and finding work as a ranger as she travels across the realm. recently reunited with her father, she faces resurfaced pain, as well as the obligation to mend the greatest loss between father and daughter, and work together to strive towards the mutual interest of achieving together what their coven refuses to - an active pursuit of regional balance of powers.

Let's opt for the short version since I detail-blathered on Plurk:
- Kali is working on finding a free pdf download so everyone can have their needed copy of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Player Handbook. If you have the old version and not the shiny gold 2013 edit with corrections and clarifications, that's ok, but if you have any edition that isn't the second, or regular D&D opposed to AD&D, they are apparently irreconcilably different and incompatible. Please don't buy anything since we'll probably have free files for everyone. But if you are like me and want to touch and hold and smell a book and carry it with you for reading and reference, still don't buy it, just wait and print off the bloody pdf file. But if you are really nerdy and obsessive like me, please make sure that any version you buy is the correct version.
- Everyone may play two characters! Both will need to be constructed with both creative storytelling skills you each possess, as well as technical D&D character parameters. They will both be played as you see fit, grow, and affect the game. One will be your main, and the other can be given away to help future new players get into things. Your second character should have something to do with your first, relation, quest, or friendship-wise, and should be a character you would enjoy pawning off on another player so that you can actually participate in writing-rp with them outside of your head and alongside the main, structured story-game. You are welcome to switch your secondary to your main at any time, should it suit your fancy. It can also be admitted to kill off one of your characters for story-depth purposes.
- Hi I'm Abrax, I'm your mod and DM and I like bribing people as much as I like gift-giving. Welcome to my
divisionnerdfest, please let me buy you your first set of dice if you don't have any, or a new set as a token of appreciation. Please go find something on Amazon (has to be Amazon) and message it to me somewhere with an address to send it too. Yes I insist on this. ♥
